Wear Nation Foundation launched

Founded in January 2015 by Nana Kyei, a graduate of KNUST, Wear nation is gradually gaining grounds locally and internationally.Wear Nation is a contemporary clothing brand that produces fair trade cotton t shirts neatly and uniquely designed with African fabrics.

On Saturday 5th November, the Wear Nation team made a donation to Yung-duuni, a community in the Northern Region of Ghana to officially launch its foundation; The Wear Nation Foundation. Despite being a small and young clothing brand, the company realized the need to give back to the society.

The foundation will primarily be funded by the sales the company makes.

The donation included clothes and drinks for about hundred (100) kids in the community.

The children couldn’t hide their joy; singing and dancing in the community church where the event took place.

“Now with every purchase of Wear Nation product, you are helping us provide clothes for the less privileged.’ – Nana Kyei, Founder of Wear nation was quoted. ‘This is not our first donation and it’s not going to be our last. We are really committed to clothing the less privileged and putting smiles on their faces.’ He added

Asked how the Foundation will be funded, the Project Manager, Miss Sherifa Awudu said some percentage of the sales will go into the Wear Nation Foundation, which will primarily be used to  fund our donations’

The chief and elders of the community thanked the Wear Nation team for their kind gesture.
